Community Pharmacist Consultation Service
NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) is a service used to facilitate patients having a same day appointment with their community pharmacist for minor illness or an urgent supply of a regular medicine, improving access to services and providing more convenient treatment closer to patients’ homes.
When you speak to our care co-ordinators they may offer you a booked consultation with an experienced pharmacist who will be able to offer you same day advice and, if necessary, a prescription for certain conditions, such as simple urinary infections, impetigo, sore throat and eye infections. Should the patient need to be escalated or referred to an alternative service, the pharmacist can arrange this.
